Morton’s Steakhouse introduces new menu items

07.13.10

Morton’s Steakhouse isn’t part of tonight’s LoDo Bites, the eating orgy featuring twenty restaurants and watering holes in lower downtown, but it’s still offering something special tonight for diners who duck out of the heat and into the cool confines of the Morton’s at 1710 Wynkoop Street:

Two new items — crab cake BLTs and smoked salmon pizza — will debut today on the happy-hour Bar Bites menu, which is offered in that great, clubby bar from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. until closing Sunday through Friday.

Morton’s is also adding a new entree (Chilean sea bass with pineapple-pepper salsa), and a brand-new dessert: Morton’s Legendary Sundae. And how can a new dessert already be legendary? Because the base is Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, explains spokeswoman Aubrey Cornelius, “a very popular Morton’s dessert that has been on the menu for years.”

The new menu items are available both at the Morton’s in the Denver Tech Center at 8480 East Belleview Avenue, and the LoDo restaurant.
